LoRaWAN Gateway Overview
The Safora LoRaWAN Gateway is a pre-configured outdoor gateway based on the MikroTik LtAP LTE7 kit. It receives LoRaWAN uplinks from Fence Shield sensors or other LoRaWAN sensors and forwards them to the ChirpStack network server over LTE or Ethernet backhaul.
Key capabilities
- LoRaWAN coverage: up to 15 km (depends on terrain and setup)
- Pre-configured by Safora: no LoRaWAN technical setup required
- Dual backhaul: LTE (SIM card) or Ethernet
- Works with ChirpStack v4
- Expandable: add your own LoRaWAN sensors alongside Fence Shield devices
